AMI is not complicated!
AMI networks are built with line of site RF transmitters and receivers. If we know where your meters are and where we can place antennas it is more like connecting dots. In networking, propagation means the spreading of signals from one place to another. Our goal in this propagation study will be to place antennas in locations that will spread the transmission signals to all of your meter locations providing them with network coverage.

We've Got You Covered!
The propagation study we create for you will use the latest information available in the modeling software, land cover and topographical resources, Google Earth, and information provided by the utility. The coverage maps are an illustrative representation of anticipated coverage. They won't be perfect because the information we are using to create them has been sourced from third parties, but they will be a very good representation of what you can expect to cover.
To provide you with anticipated coverage of your meter system, we need to know the following:
1. In the form below, we will need the name, location and height of the assets (water towers, tanks, etc.) you already own. If you only have 1 tower, that is perfectly fine, but more is better. To get started, list the 3 tallest assets in the meter system that are around the most meters in the form below. If we aren't able to cover everything we will ask for more assets where coverage is missing.
2. General meter system information such as how many meters and basic geographical layout of the system, etc.
After the initial propagation is complete, we will share it with you and make sure all of your meters are within the anticipated coverage area. If you aren't sure, we can take the additional step of gathering all of your account addresses and plotting them.
Assets Definition: Assets are anything an antenna can be mounted on. Water towers, elevated tanks, stand pipes, radio towers, lift stations, or any utility property with a raised structure such as the utility office, city hall, fire stations, police stations, city parks, etc.
Please take a few minutes to fill out the information below and we can get started. If you would prefer, we can fill out the information for you on the phone. Call us at (903) 753-3456 and we would be happy to help!
